Mr. Freeze

It is cold in Montreal, very cold. Mr Freeze has reared his ugly head and transformed the city into a full on winter non-wonderland. I was at work today, listening to the radio while working at my desk and they said the max temperature for the day would be -13 (which to you readers who only know Fahrenheit is a little over 8 degrees). Thus my style is on a vacation to ensure that my face will not freeze, that my limbs will not be amputated from frostbite and that my thighs may regain consciousness after feeling like they have been in a meatlocker for a day when in reality I have only walked 5 minutes to get somewhere outside. I would like to thank engineers for making interconnected tunnels in Montreal, because without you, I would honestly not be venturing out to shop at all. The pic is of me and my old faithful Mackage coat from over 4 years ago, it is still in great condition (due to the fact I own over 15 winter coats and like to switch it up on a regular basis). I recently purchased a white Burberry down coat at Holt Renfrew, I wore it this week as well, was not sure it was going to be warm enough, but holy smokes, it is!!! I love it, its plaid lining makes me swoon! Pics to be come soon... I have been alternating my winter boots as well: my trusty chesnut uggs and my purple buffalo plaid snowjoggers. I have some brown tall uggs that I bought last year and never wore, cuz I never got around to buying the ugg spray to protect them. I called Ogilvy's last week to see if they had some spray in stock, and shocker, everyone ran to buy some and there isn't anymore... So those boots are on standby until I can get them properly safeguarded from Montreal winters!!!

I will be talking about my recent purchases in my next postings, bought a bunch of stuff for myself (all bargains, but I feel bad since I should have been purchasing my xmas gifts, but people are so hard to shop for, so I gave up many time. Gotta finalize my Xmas shopping this week or early next week....Hate being last minute, arghhh!

Hello, I am me.

I have had 2 or 3 blogs in the past and not a whole lot of discipline to follow through with them... Here is yet another opportunity to enter the world of fashion blogging (bear with me people, I can get lazy but I am a shopping athlete who has the luck of the Irish when it comes to good deals. I hope to mingle with all you lovely gals who with your wardrobe hauls, shopping tips and other banter keep me interested in the frivolous world of threads... I am a twenty something bureaucrat (yep, boring but it pays very well) and I used to be read the september issue of Vogue as bedtime story by my aunt.
